Chris Brown is addressing the recurring debate<\/a> over \u201cwho\u2019s better<\/a>\u201d when it comes to Michael Jackson, Beyonc\u00e9, Usher, and himself.<\/p>\n

Breezy took to Instagram Saturday (Sept. 6) with his \u201chonest opinion\u201d on the matter. \u201cBeyonc\u00e9, Michael Jackson, and Usher are all the BEST superstars<\/a> in lanes of their own,\u201d Brown wrote.<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cBack in the day, music was individuality and we were able to be inspired by all the artist from the past because they were the best versions of their creativity WITHOUT DEBATES <\/a>ON WHO\u2019S BETTER.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown admittedly is aware of debates<\/a> surrounding who is the best performer<\/a> out of these four. Still, he will never claim to be \u201cbetter\u201d than any of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe truth is that we all shine bright in our own way. I\u2019LL NEVER SAY IMA BETTER ANYTHING. I\u2019M just being the best Chris Brown,\u201d he stated. \u201cIN SOME WAY, SHAPE OR FORM, THESE ARTISTS HAVE INFLUENCED ME TO GO HARD <\/a>AND NEVER GIVE UP. I JUST WANT TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR HELPING PEOPLE WITH MY GIFTS.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans of the \u201cIt Depends<\/a>\u201d crooner know that one of his greatest influences is the undisputed King of Pop<\/a>. Brown even noted in the statement, \u201cMichael Jackson will forever be the GOAT<\/a> and that\u2019s not even arguable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding the debates and such, Breezy hopes, \u201cwhat we have accomplished individually [will] spark the minds and hearts of the next generation after us.\u201d He added, \u201cWe have an obligation to keep this art form alive.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is far from the first time Brown has addressed comparisons<\/a> to Jackson and Usher.<\/p>\n

During a 2022 sit-down with radio veteran, Big Boy, the singer felt the parallels stemmed from a \u201cgenerational gap\u201d and was grateful for the narrative switch when it came to him. \u201cIt could be a lot worse. I remember there use to be a whole different conversation about Chris Brown. I\u2019m thankful in the regards,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n

The Brown\/Usher fodder peaked during the cultural phenomenon of Verzuz<\/a>. Neither party agreed to the battle, despite fans\u2019 demands. Yet, that didn\u2019t stop notable Ursher collaborator, Jermaine Dupri<\/a>, from recently explaining<\/a> why he hasn\u2019t (and potentially wouldn\u2019t) work with Breezy. Watch below.<\/p>\n
