The actor was asked about her husband\u2019s job status while promoting her new film, \u201cEleanor the Great,\u201d at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s going back to work,\u201d Johansson confirmed to Entertainment Weekly<\/a> in an exclusive interview on Sunday. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jost himself has not yet weighed in on his return, or the likelihood that he\u2019ll be back at the \u201cWeekend Update\u201d desk alongside his longtime co-host, Michael Che<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jost started at \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d in 2005<\/a> and served as the show\u2019s head writer for many years. He began his stint on \u201cUpdate\u201d back in 2014. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cSNL<\/a>\u201d creator Lorne Michaels<\/a> previously revealed that Season 51 of the show would come with major casting shakeups, as he told Puck<\/a> last month that he felt \u201cpressure to reinvent this season.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Michaels added that \u201cthere couldn\u2019t be those kind of disruptions, or anything that was going to take the focus off\u201d Season 50 of the show, as it was both an election year and a major milestone in the show\u2019s history. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
