Jonathan Bailey is pumping the breaks on his acting career. <\/p>\n
And its something that came as a big suprise for his adoring fans. <\/p>\n
After a ton of successful projects that includes \u201cWicked,\u201d \u201cJurassic World: Rebirth,\u201d \u201cFellow Travelers,\u201d and a slew of successful seasons on \u201cBridgerton<\/a>,\u201d the famous actor is looking to take a much-needed break. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been working solidly for about three years now, which has been amazing and mind-blowing,\u201d Bailey told British GQ<\/a> in an interview published Sept. 3. \u201cBut with everything happening in the world right now, I\u2019m going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on the Shameless Fund<\/a>.”<\/p>\n The Shameless Fund, a U.K.-based charity was founded by the 37-year-old and raises funds for non-profit organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community by partnering with global brands, which is how the Bailey\u2019s viral \u201cslutty little glasses<\/a>\u201d \u2013 a partnership with eyewear brand Cubitts \u2013 transpired. <\/p>\n \u201cOver the next few months, I\u2019ll be focusing on staffing and making sure we get all the right people in all the right places,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere\u2019s this statistic: out of every \u00a3100 raised in the U.K., only 1 [penny] goes to the LGBTQ+ community. You really have to dig to find solutions, and I genuinely think The Shameless Fund is exactly that.\u201d<\/p>\n Other than the fund making a huge impact within the community, the famous actor views the fund and its partnerships as an outlet to be \u201cfun and creative.\u201d Also along for the ride to promote his recent collab with Cubitts were \u201cWicked\u201d costar Cynthia Erivo and Scarlette Johanson. <\/p>\n Erivo wore a pair of rose-tinted spectacles and promoted the brand on her Instagram<\/a> in August, while Johanson sported a pair<\/a> recently in a sizzling shot with the \u201cBridgerton\u201d star, who jokingly bit her neck while she struck a pose. <\/p>\n The \u201cAvengers\u201d star also took part in the fund\u2019s sultry \u201cDrink Your Milk\u201d partnership with acclaimed fashion brand Loewe last year. <\/p>\n But before his Hollywood hiatus went into effect, Bailey pursued other ways to incorporate The Shameless Fund into his everyday life and that was being shameless about the color pink. <\/p>\n \u201cWhen we\u2019re working on the Shameless Fund, the colour pink is so important,\u201d he detailed to the publication. \u201cIt\u2019s an expression of joy and happiness, and it\u2019s incredibly flattering\u2014a reason why I wore it so much during the \u2018Wicked\u2019 <\/i>press tour.\u201d<\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
