Del Toro also discussed his stop-motion adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro\u2019s novel The Buried Giant.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-4 text-xl font-bold md:text-2xl\">Guillermo del Toro says his next project with Oscar Isaac will be a thriller titled Fury<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Guillermo del Toro had Oscar Isaac right beside him when he announced his next collaborative venture with the Moon Knight actor, a \u201cvery cruel, very violent\u201d thriller titled Fury in front of the TIFF audience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI\u2019m writing a project to do with Oscar,\u201d the writer-director said. \u201cI\u2019m writing it right now, and it\u2019s called Fury, and essentially it\u2019s going back to sort of thriller aspects of Nightmare Alley \u2014 very cruel, very violent. Like My Dinner with Andre but killing people after each course.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The announcement came after Frankenstein, which features Isaac as the titular brilliant but egotistical scientist, was screened at TIFF as part of the Special Presentations programme. The movie also stars Jacob Elordi as the Creature, Mia Goth as Elizabeth Lavenza, and Christoph Waltz as Henrich Harlander.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Del Toro then proceeded to explain why he found the concept of Fury fascinating. \u201cBecause I\u2019m very interested in the violence we do to each other, and we do it with our minds, we do it with our souls and we do it physically,\u201d he explained, before stating that regret will be a major motif in the project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Del Toro spoke about the \u201cnew questions\u201d that he has as a man of age 60. \u201cI\u2019ve gone from asking who I am as a father and son to regret.
