The Paper<\/a>, his not-exactly-a-reboot of The Office<\/a>, was formally renewed by Peacock the night before and, just a few hours prior to our early September meeting, the embargo lifted on reviews. Plenty of critics, including THR\u2019s, seem bullish on his return to the workplace mockumentary. Several even suggest that it\u2019s enjoying a more auspicious start than its predecessor\u2019s. \u201cThat\u2019s a nice way to sort of put me down,\u201d says Daniels<\/a>. He\u2019s laughing, but he seems to agree: \u201cI\u2019ve really tried to learn from the experience of making shows where we don\u2019t even see episode one until we\u2019re shooting episode three.
