Netflix<\/a> has released the official trailer for Nouvelle Vague<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Nouvelle Vague is billed as Richard Linklater\u2019s<\/a> love letter to French cinema. Godard is attempting to direct his first feature film and recruits American actress Jean Seberg (Deutch) and French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo (Dullin) as his stars. The film would turn all three into icons of the French New Wave.<\/p>\n \u201cAs critic-turned-director Godard makes and breaks the rules, a mix of fresh faces and daring talents bring his spontaneous, electric film to life,\u201d the Netflix synopsis reads. \u201cCapturing the youthful dynamism and creative chaos at the heart of one of the world\u2019s most beloved and influential movies, Nouvelle Vague transports us to the streets of 1959 Paris for an ode to the power of cinema to transform our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n Linklater directs Nouvelle Vague from a screenplay by Holly Gent, Vincent Palmo Jr., Mich\u00e8le Halberstadt, and Laetitia Masson. Producers include Laurent P\u00e9tin and Mich\u00e8le P\u00e9tin (Halberstadt). The cast features Guillaume Marbeck, Zoey Deutch<\/a>, and Aubry Dullin.<\/p>\n Nouvelle Vague is one of two Linklater movies premiering this fall. Linklater\u2019s second movie, Blue Moon, is a dramedy about songwriter Lorenz Hart, who attends the opening night of Oklahoma to support his former creative partner, Richard Rodgers.<\/p>\n Blue Moon<\/a> stars Ethan Hawke<\/a>, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale, and Andrew Scott. Blue Moon opens in theaters on November 17, 2025.<\/p>\n As for Nouvelle Vague, the film opens in select US theaters on October 31, 2025.
