Freddie Gibbs<\/a> considers Alfredo 2<\/em><\/a>, his latest full-length collaborative project with The Alchemist<\/a>, to be a \u201cperfect\u2019 album.<\/p>\n The acclaimed album, his and Alchemist\u2019s second together, arrived back in July and currently stands as a major contender for impending year-end, best-of coverage. Clearly, Gibbs agrees with the general assessment of his latest project, quickly naming it as his \u201cperfect 10\u201d pick when interviewed by Pitchfork<\/em> this weekend amid 2025 MTV Video Music Awards <\/a>proceedings.<\/p>\n \u201cMy perfect 10 album? The one I just dropped, Alfredo 2<\/em>,\u201d Gibbs said with a laugh, as seen below. \u201cThe best song off that album to me, it changes every week. You know, I got three kids so I love all of \u2018em the same but sometimes one\u2019ll pop up and be my favorite. But probably my favorite off the album if I gotta choose, probably \u2018Ensalada\u2019 with Anderson .Paak.\u201d<\/p>\n Gibbs was nominated alongside Leon Thomas for Best R&B for their \u201cMUTT\u201d remix at this year\u2019s VMAs, with Mariah Carey<\/a>\u2019s \u201cType Dangerous\u201d ultimately emerging victorious in the category. During the interview, Gibbs, whose previous full-length with Alchemist arrived back in 2020 and went on to be named by Complex as the year\u2019s fourth-best album<\/a>, looked back on his first meeting with the prolific producer.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what he do.
