Hilary Duff fans, rejoice. A decade after her last album (2015\u2019s Breathe In. Breathe Out.<\/em>), the actress has announced her return to music.<\/p>\n The actress-singer signed with Atlantic Records and will star in a new docuseries directed by Sam Wrench, who recently worked on\u00a0Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter<\/em><\/a>, and\u00a0Laufey\u2019s A Night At the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl<\/em><\/a>.<\/span> The title and release date have yet to be announced, but the series will chronicle her return to music, as she records new material and prepares for her first performances in over a decade.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n Duff, who recently starred in the Hulu spinoff How I Met Your Father<\/em>, has been quietly teasing her return to music, posting photos<\/a> of her in the studio. On Aug. 26, she celebrated<\/a> the 22nd anniversary of her beloved second album Metamorphosis<\/em>, and ended the lengthy, heartfelt caption with a cryptic \u201cTo be continued\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n In the post, Duff joked that she had to \u201cgo digging\u201d on the internet for photos from the era because camera phones didn\u2019t yet exist, but that her hairstyles are all heavily documented. \u201cI do know this marker of time was a huge change in my being,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI was embarking on something I had no idea would make such an impact on peoples lives, and mine. As much as I look back and think this album doesn\u2019t hold the emotional depth I look for today, I know my 14\/15 year old self meant every word. It sure as hell also landed on people at the right moment in time and set me off on a pretty epic adventure.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this summer, Duff commemorated<\/a> the 10-year anniversary of Breathe In. Breathe Out<\/em>. She reflected on that period, noting it\u2019s how she met her now husband, musician Matthew Koma, who worked on the record. \u201cWhile Breathe In.
