D4vd<\/a> said he is \u201cfully cooperating\u201d with authorities after a decomposing body was found in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to the singer, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n Law enforcement sources told The Los Angeles Times<\/a><\/em> that the impounded automobile was registered to David Anthony Burke \u2014 the singer\u2019s real name \u2014 in Texas. The body has not yet been identified. Burke, who is currently on tour, performed in Madison, Wisconsin, on Sunday, Sept. 7, and is still set to perform in Minneapolis tonight, Sept. 9.\u00a0A representative for the Fillmore in Minneapolis tells Rolling Stone the show \u201cis happening.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n A spokesperson for Burke told NBC<\/a> that the musician \u201chas been informed about what\u2019s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.\u201d<\/p>\n A lawyer for Burke did not immediately return Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n According to the Los Angeles police, the body was discovered Monday afternoon, Sept. 8, after officers responded a call about a \u201cfoul odor coming form a vehicle at a tow yard\u201d in Hollywood. \u201cDetectives responded and located possible human remains,\u201d the LAPD said. \u201cIt is currently a death investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n Police sources said the car had been sitting in the tow lot for at least five days. It was towed from the upscale Bird Streets neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills.<\/p>\n Burke, as D4vd, released his debut album, Withered<\/a><\/em>, back in April. He broke through in 2022 with singles \u201cRomantic Homicide\u201d and \u201cHere With Me,\u201d which garnered significant traction on TikTok. He released his debut EP, Petals to Thorns<\/em>, in May 2023, then followed it up a few months later with The Lost Petals<\/em>.<\/p>\n Burked launched his current tour back in August. He has North American dates scheduled through the end of this month, with his last show currently slated for Sept. 20 in Los Angeles.
