Glen Powell<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is breaking his silence \u2014 and shedding some light \u2014 on his split from\u00a0Gigi Paris<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0two years after they called it quits.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will always have nothing but love for her and respect for her,\u201d Powell, 36, told\u00a0GQ<\/em><\/a> of Paris, 33, in an interview published on Tuesday, September 9.<\/p>\n

Powell, however, revealed that he doesn\u2019t exactly agree with what Paris has said about their split \u2014 and how his\u00a0filming\u00a0Anyone But You<\/em><\/a> with Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a> factored into it.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody\u2019s always going to have their own narrative on things and all that,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd she\u2019s welcome to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tGlen Powell and Gigi Paris were a picture-perfect couple for years before their split. \u201cI\u2019ve played a lot of womanizers and clueless a\u2013holes, so I\u2019m hoping there\u2019s not a whole lot of common DNA between the characters I\u2019ve played and me,\u201d Powell told Glamour in 2019 before he started dating Paris. \u201cAlso, they\u2019re movie characters. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He continued, \u201cRelationships are really hard. And when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch, and they will each tell their own narrative<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Powell\u2019s rare comments about Paris come three months after the model broke her silence over the rumors surrounding the circumstance of their April 2023 split<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just, this is what I have to do for my job. I had two options. I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder, like, \u2018Are they hooking up? What the f***?\u2019\u201d Paris claimed during a June episode of the \u201cToo Much\u201d podcast<\/a> of how she handled speculation that Powell and Sweeney, 27, were more than just coworkers after getting cozy on set and during the film\u2019s promo tour.<\/p>\n

She explained her\u00a0thought process at the time, adding, \u201cOr stand up for myself and say, \u2018No, I\u2019m actually not OK with this, and I\u2019m walking away.\u2019 So that\u2019s what I decided to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Powell and Paris dated for three years, parting ways<\/a> before he wrapped filming\u00a0Anyone But You<\/em>\u00a0in Australia.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tGlen Powell split from his long-time girlfriend Gigi Paris over a year ago \u2014 and he\u2019s been too busy to worry about a relationship ever since. The Hit Man star, 35, told CBS Mornings that he hasn\u2019t been seeking out a partner since his three-year-relationship with Paris came to an end, saying he worries a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the time, Paris shared a cryptic social media message hinting at her and Powell\u2019s breakup, writing via Instagram, \u201cKnow your worth & onto the next.\u201d<\/p>\n

While some fans thought Paris and Powell called it quits because of his alleged relationship with Sweeney \u2014 who was engaged to\u00a0Jonathan Davino<\/strong><\/a> at the time but the two have since split \u2014 it wasn\u2019t until June that Paris publicly addressed the chatter.<\/p>\n

Paris said on the \u201cToo Much\u201d podcast that she was \u201cshattered\u201d by the way everything played out in the public eye, noting she just \u201cwanted respect\u201d from Powell.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat sucked was how it was handled. I felt like I was just fed to the dogs,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

Paris claimed that Powell chose not to publicly denounce<\/a> the false narrative about a relationship between him and Sweeney\u00a0because it was \u201cserving them for their PR.\u201d (Powell later claimed on the\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0show in 2023 that there was \u201cno\u201d romance with Sweeney, but said, \u201cWe do love each other.\u201d)<\/p>\n

To fit in with the movie\u2019s alleged press plan, Paris further alleged that Powell called her and said, \u201cThe producers and I have discussed that I think it\u2019s best that you don\u2019t come visit.\u201d She recalled hanging up the phone and deciding then that they were done.<\/p>\n
