Kavalier argues that if she wants it back, she\u2019ll have to pay, as he drives the price higher and higher. Yutani goes so far as to offer $50 billion, to which he seems to agree, before reminding her she can retrieve it after the required quarantine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cHe\u2019s going into this meeting with that little trick up his sleeve, which gives a little bit of light in your eyes as you go in,\u201d Blenkin tells TV Insider about Kavalier\u2019s approach to the pivotal conversation. \u201cBut I think also he\u2019s just a character who doesn\u2019t believe it\u2019s possible for him to lose,\u201d Blenkin adds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In a way, Blenkin notes that the blind confidence his character carries likely comes from a place in which he\u2019s never really faced consequences. \u201cThe recklessness goes so far because I don\u2019t think he\u2019s ever had anything come back to bite him in his life. We all go through those little moments in our lives when we have our little comeuppances, and what\u2019s funny about him is that he hasn\u2019t learned many lessons.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"relative mb-4\">\n<div class=\"relative\"><img alt=\"Sandra Yi Sencindiver in 'Alien: Earth' Season 1 \" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"586\" height=\"570\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/s.yimg.com\/ny\/api\/res\/1.2\/Y8KveAg3K6LPE1Fj0hJzeA--\/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTk2MDtoPTkzNDtjZj13ZWJw\/https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/tv_insider_639\/deabdf09d10db1d36c48e9fb655499dd\"\/><\/div><figcaption class=\"relative text-sm mt-1 pr-2.5\">\n<p>Sandra Yi Sencindiver in &#8216;Alien: Earth&#8217; Season 1 <\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Patrick Brown \/ FX<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to the star, during filming, \u201cWe didn\u2019t really have air conditioning in there, so it was hot and intense, and it really felt like a kind of pressure cooker situation.\u201d Despite the tense nature of the conversation, though, Blenkin notes, \u201cSandra and I had a great time.\u201d The scene was almost more extreme as well as Blenkin reveals when he was rehearsing with director Ugla Hauksd\u00f3ttir, \u201cI had the idea of getting up on the table and stuff\u2026 she let me push it a little bit too far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ultimately, he says, \u201cI got up on the table and she was like, I\u2019m not sure if it\u2019s gonna work because it\u2019s meant to be a business meeting, it\u2019s a professional meeting.\u201d Still, Blenkin adds, \u201cMy instinct with this character is that you might as well just go the whole hog as long as the performance is not completely like a caricature. He\u2019s an affected person because he\u2019s his own hero in his own hero\u2019s journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Perhaps that explains Boy Kavalier\u2019s fascination with Peter Pan, whose stories he reads over the intercoms to his hybrid creations. The choice to interpret the text for his own narrative is something Blenkin says is \u201cquite on trend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIn this case, a trillionaire\u2026 having a really formative reading experience that he\u2019s clearly really attached to this book, but completely misinterpreting the point of the book. I really love that. \u00a0I love that he doesn\u2019t even stop to think twice about whether the book might have a different meaning,\u201d Blenkin adds, hinting at his impressionable and mostly indestructible hybrids.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">What will playing with aliens and Yutani mean for Boy Kavalier?
