DZ Deathrays<\/a> have announced their seventh studio album, Easing Out Of Control<\/em>. The new LP is set for release on Friday, January 16th, 2026 via the band\u2019s own imprint, DZ Worldwide. As part of the album\u2019s rollout, the alternative rock trio have announced a six-date Australian tour and shared a new single entitled \u2018Real Love\u2019. Details of both can be found below.<\/p>\n \u2018Real Love\u2019 is the fourth single to be lifted from Easing Out Of Control<\/em>, with the three previous being released prior to the album\u2019s official announcement: \u2018First Night Fever\u2019 in October 2025, \u2018Like No Other\u2019 in February and \u2018Sideways\u2019 this past June. In a press statement, lead vocalist and guitarist Shane Parsons described \u2018Real Love\u2019 as \u201ca challenge\u201d due to its significant musical departure from the band\u2019s usual rock-oriented sound. \u201cI wanted it to feel heartfelt, but still off-the-cuff and casual \u2014 like it just spilled out,\u201d said Parson. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely a different moment for us, but I think it opens the door for our sound to go anywhere.\u201d A music video has also been shared, directed by Rhys Bennett.<\/p>\n Easing Out Of Control<\/em> was recorded with producer Nathan Sheehy, as well as with touring bassist Luke Henery \u2013 formerly of Violent Soho, and a bandmate of drummer Simon Ridley in side project Total Pace. The album was completed at the band\u2019s home studios, with the band split between Sydney (Parsons and guitarist Lachlan Ewbank) and Brisbane (Ridley and Henery).<\/p>\n The band\u2019s last studio album, R.I.F.F.<\/em> (\u201cremember, it\u2019s for fun\u201d) was released in June of 2023. It debuted at number eight on the ARIA Albums Chart, marking their third album to reach the top ten overall. The album was flanked by the singles \u2018King B\u2019, \u2018Paranoid\u2019 and \u2018Tuff Luck\u2019.
