Watch it below.<\/p>\n Based on a true story, the film was written and directed by Craig Brewer. It stars Hudson and Jackman as a pair of aspiring musicians in Milwaukee who find love and success after starting a Neil Diamond<\/a> tribute band called Lightning and Thunder. You want to be a Neil Diamond interpreter,\u201d Hudson says as character Claire Sardina toward the beginning of the clip. \u201cI was looking for the right way to say it, and you just came right out and said it,\u201d responds Jackman as husband Mike Sardina.<\/p>\n Song Sung Blue is based on Greg Koh\u2019s 2008 documentary of the same name. The movie\u2019s cast is rounded out by\u00a0Michael Imperioli, King Princess, Ella Anderson, Mustafa Shakir, Jim Belushi, Hudson Hensley, and Fisher Stevens.<\/p>\n Last year, Jackman starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in the summer blockbuster, Deadpool & Wolverine<\/a>.
