Lady Gaga just announced that she will be playing two shows at Austin’s Moody Center on March 8 and 9 for her “Mayhem Ball” tour. The announcement comes with 21 new dates added to the North American leg of her existing tour. Other Texas stops for the acclaimed singer include two dates in Fort Worth on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1.<\/p>\n
The first tickets for her upcoming Austin performances will be available Sept. 10 through Citi Entertainment Program<\/a> and Verizon<\/a> presales. Ticketmaster<\/a> presales begin on Sept. 12 at noon, while remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sept. 15 at noon through Live Nation<\/a>.<\/p>\n Lady Gaga last played Austin on Dec. 5, 2017 at the Frank Erwin Center for her “Joanne World” tour and surprised fans with another performance at Antone’s Nightclub later that same night. Before that, she hit\u00a0ACL Live with Tony Bennett for the “Cheek to Cheek” tour in 2015. In 2014, Lady Gaga played a South by Southwest show at Stubb’s Amphitheater. She also played Frank Erwin Center in 2011 during “The Monster Ball” tour, and her first appearance in town came in 2009 at Austin Music Hall.<\/p>\n With over 15,000 seats, Moody Center has become the go-to arena for popular touring artists since opening in 2022<\/a>. Located on the University of Texas at Austin campus at 2001 Robert\u00a0Dedman Drive, the venue gives you the option to pre-purchase a parking spot<\/a> at one of five nearby parking garages ahead of the show: Manor Garage, Trinity Garage, Parking Garage B, State Garage G and State Garage R. The ADA drop-off and pick-up area is located northwest of the venue on Robert Dedman Drive. The box office is at the southwest corner of the arena.<\/p>\n There are two entrances, on the west and east sides of the building. Guests must pass through metal detectors and a bag search before entry.<\/p>\n At the end of the night, designated rideshare drop-off and pick-up is on Clyde Littlefield Drive. The roads surrounding Moody Center get congested after events, so expect a slow departure from the area, but hot dog vendors are often stationed outside if you’re hungry for a late-night snack.<\/p>\n Moody Center permits clear bags that do not exceed 14\u2033\u00a0x 14\u2033 x 6\u2033 or small clutch purses that do not exceed 5\u2033 x 9\u2033 x 1.5\u2033 for their events. The venue prohibits recording equipment apart from smartphones. Smoking and vaping are not allowed on the premises. Upper-level seating is terraced and Moody Center does permit binoculars. Front-of-stage seating is also available for purchase, but the space is a standing area for some concerts. Premium suites are also available. The venue follows a \u201cno re-entry policy.\u201d Guests who exit the building during an event will not be admitted back inside.
