Hot on the heels of her extravagant performance<\/a> at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>, Lady Gaga<\/a> was the musical guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on the show\u2019s Monday night, September 8, episode. Wearing a black dress for this quieter performance, Gaga played piano with a guitar duo backing her for a sparse, ballad-style rendition of \u201cVanish Into You,\u201d a dance-pop anthem from Mayhem<\/a>. Watch it happen below.<\/p>\n Lady Gaga was the most nominated artist at Sunday night\u2019s VMAs, with 12 nods in total. She won<\/a> Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration (for her Bruno Mars duet \u201cDie With a Smile<\/a>\u201d) and Best Direction and Best Art Direction for \u201cAbracadabra<\/a>,\u201d but ultimately lost in the Video of the Year category to Ariana Grande\u2019s \u201cBrighter Days Ahead<\/a>.\u201d She also performed \u201cAbracadabra\u201d and \u201cThe Dead Dance<\/a>,\u201d her new single for Netflix\u2019s Wednesday, during the program.<\/p>\n Mayhem is Gaga\u2019s first album in five years. She\u2019s currently on the road in support of the LP, performing in major arenas as part of her North American tour<\/a>.
