Busta Rhymes<\/a> couldn’t resist the sight of Mariah Carey<\/a> at the 2025 MTV VMAs <\/a>on Sunday night (Sept. 7).<\/p>\n

During the awards ceremony, Carey took home the Video Vanguard Award, while Busta was honored with the inaugural Rock The Bells Visionary Award. At an afterparty, the rapper grabbed the mic, where he joked that he wanted to “hump” the leg of his “I Know What You Want”<\/a> collaborator.<\/p>\n

“Mariah Carey, we are gonna start right there,” Busta began in the video below. “You ain’t got a husband no more. I wanna hump on your leg.”<\/p>\n

He continued, “I wanna hump on your leg, Mariah Carey! You ain’t got no husband no more, ain’t no fianc\u00e9’s around. Let me hump on your leg like an old nasty dog.”<\/p>\n

While it’s doubtful that Mimi granted Busta’s request, the two performed a live rendition of their 2003 hit for partygoers. The singer is rumored to be dating Anderson .Paak<\/a>, but was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola<\/a> and Nick Cannon<\/a>, the latter with whom she shares 14-year-old twins<\/a>. Carey last dated her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka<\/a>, from 2016 to 2023.<\/p>\n

At the VMAs, both Carey and Busta performed career-spanning medleys, with the latter being joined by guests GloRilla<\/a>, Joyner Lucas<\/a> and Papoose<\/a>. Following Carey’s set, the pop and R&B icon was awarded by her “Yes, And?” remix collaborator, Ariana Grande<\/a>.<\/p>\n
