Dwayne Johnson has been making the media rounds of late as he prepares for the release of his upcoming film, \u201cThe Smashing Machine,\u201d about ex-UFC fighter Mark Kerr.<\/p>\n
But his appearance \u2014 \u201cThe Rock\u201d was a hulking, muscle -bound wrestler not that long ago but has recently lost a lot of weight \u2014 has had fans talking. And it has at least one wrestling legend worried. <\/p>\n
WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash laid out his thoughts on it all during a recent edition of his \u201cKliq THIS\u201d podcast. <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m worried about him,\u201d Nash said of Johnson. <\/p>\n His co-host, Sean Oliver, then noted that Johnson has said he made the drastic cuts in preparation for acting parts.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd the result, if you Google it, that he sat down with his cardiologist and he\u2019s suffering from heart disease,\u201d Nash responded. <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s doing the exact same thing Dave (Bautista) did,\u201d Nash said later in the conversation. \u201cDave just doesn\u2019t want to carry that bulk anymore. You get to a (expletive) age and you are just like (expletive) this. And especially if your cardiologist tells you, \u2018Dude, you\u2019re taking years off your life.\u2019 If you have $800 million (expletive) dollars, the last thing you want to do is (expletive) with your health.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIs there anything \u2026 I want to be careful, athletics, that is contributing to this?\u201d Oliver asked. \u201cIs it size? Is it working out?<\/p>\n Nash said he believed it was Johnson\u2019s genetics and that \u201chis ancestry had heart issues.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe was big but in very good shape,\u201d Oliver said.<\/p>\n \u201cBut that is not obtainable to carry that much size in that condition,\u201d Nash responded. \u201cYou\u2019re not on TRT. I\u2019m on TRT. I get a cc of testosterone a week. I\u2019m not going \u2026. I could not be 330 pounds on a cc of testosterone. <\/p>\n \u201cI think Dwayne was probably, as \u2018The Final Boss\u2019 probably 285, 280,\u201d he added. \u201cHe\u2019s probably 220 right now, which at 6-3, 220 he\u2019s still a big guy. That\u2019s not a small guy. I just \u2026 look at his face, and the face looks really, like it\u2019s taken a beating.\u201d<\/p>\n Oliver put up a photo on the screen.<\/p>\n \u201cLook at the sunkeness of the eyes, you have to put a side-by-side picture of him as \u2018The Final Boss\u2019 and put them there and tell me that \u2026 that scares me, and I hope Dwayne is OK,\u201d Nash said. \u201cLook at that face. What that one movie aged him five years, and he wants to do another one? <\/p>\n \u201cThe lines in his face are deeper, his eyes are set deeper, yet his face appears thinner there than in the other photograph.\u201d<\/p>\n Oliver then asked how long it would take and what regimen \u201cThe Rock\u201d, who is 53, could use to lose 60 pounds while still working out and staying fit \u201cafter having been that big a year ago, eight months ago?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDrop the (expletive) anabolic doses,\u201d Nash said. <\/p>\n \u201cNumber one, I know that he is an absolute muscle head,\u201d he added. \u201cI mean he loves to work out. He lives to work out. So, you\u2019re not going to drop 60 pounds in, this \u2026 he showed up in Venice and it was like, bam! Nobody has seen him before that? Like, where has he been? Was he that third (expletive) astronaut up there they couldn\u2019t get back? I mean, where the (expletive) has Dwayne been to lose that much weight that quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n Oliver then pulled up another pair of recent photos, one showing Johnson muscled up and another showing him slimmed down. <\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s a (expletive) different human being,\u201d Nash said. <\/p>\n The two then continued to look at photos of Johnson before Oliver said that it was \u201can accomplishment for him to stay fit,\u201d while losing the weight.<\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t know that he stayed fit because he\u2019s in a suit,\u201d Nash replied.<\/p>\n Oliver pointed out that Nash said that Johnson was a \u201cgym rat.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cSo, I don\u2019t think that he would drop the weight without trying to stay toned,\u201d Oliver said. <\/p>\n \u201cWhat if you\u2019re in AFib?\u201d Nash replied. \u201cYou can\u2019t work out.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd you\u2019ve got cardiac problems.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
