Donna Farizan<\/strong> is saying goodbye to the Today<\/em><\/a> show after 12 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m challenging myself to spread my wings beyond the show to see what new and exciting opportunities await me professionally,\u201d Farizan, 34, told Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong> and Savannah Guthrie<\/strong> during a Monday, September 8, appearance on Jenna & Friends<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Farizan wrote a letter to herself, which was published on the show\u2019s website<\/a>, reflecting on the lessons she learned during her time at the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe time has come to start my next chapter. The unknown can be scary, but it\u2019s also exhilarating, so let\u2019s embrace it,\u201d she wrote. \u201cSince I started college and had my heart set on television internships, I didn\u2019t know where the road would lead, but I knew to follow my curiosity and spark. I created a path that taught me lessons that expanded my growth as a human being.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFans and celebrity guests alike are going to miss seeing Hoda Kotb on Today. In September 2024, Kotb, 60, surprised viewers when she announced that she will be leaving the show in early 2025. \u201cI just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old because I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She added, \u201cI believe dreams come true, I believe in romanticizing life and staying hopeful that the future I can\u2019t yet see burns bright.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farizan called Today<\/em> her \u201chome away from home\u201d in the goodbye message, shouting out the \u201cfriendships\u201d and \u201cmemories\u201d made throughout her tenure.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe biggest joy of this chapter in my life has been the viewers I\u2019ve met \u2014 or have yet to meet \u2014 along the way,\u201d she wrote. \u201cSuccess is a team sport, and this is the team I\u2019ve built. So I\u2019ll take these lessons with me, spread my wings, and remind myself that I can always fly back to say hello.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farizan also took to Instagram with a heartfelt caption about her time at Today and took a walk down memory lane with some throwback videos.<\/p>\n
