A South Korean YouTuber boasting 1.46 million subscribers has passed away aged 47, just days after telling fans about his lack of sleep.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Na Dong-hyun’s body was discovered by local authorities in his Seoul home last Saturday (September 6) following a tip-off from a friend who claimed he’d failed to attend a scheduled meeting, per<\/a> The Korea Herald.<\/p>\n

Two days earlier, the live-streaming sensation – known throughout the community<\/a> as ‘Daedo Library’ or ‘Daedoseogwan’ – was playing the game<\/a> Mabinogi<\/em> when he told viewers that he’d only slept for ‘about three hours’ during the entirety of Seoul Fashion Week<\/a>, which took place between September 1 and 7.<\/p>\n

“I just came back from Fashion Week today. Fashion Week was fun. I watched the fashion shows all the way through,” said Dong-hyun, according to<\/a> The Chosun.<\/p>\n

Na Dong-hyun was a popular face on the live-streaming scene (YouTube\/Na Dong-hyun)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Dong-hyun, who’d been active on the YouTube<\/a> scene for 15 years, left no suicide note, nor were there any signs of violence or a struggle when the police showed up.<\/p>\n

His ex-wife Lee Chae-won has since revealed that his passing was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage<\/a> after spotting uninformed speculation online.<\/p>\n

“I want to make sure no more misunderstandings cause further pain, so I would like to clarify a few things,” she wrote on YouTube.<\/p>\n

“An autopsy was conducted to eliminate any doubt, and the final conclusion was that the cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage.”<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old’s ex-wife has poured cold water on rumours surrounding his death (Yonhap\/Na Dong-hyun)<\/cite><\/div>\n

She also said that her late former husband was taking blood pressure tablets at the time, and that any mention of an inherited heart condition was inaccurate.<\/p>\n

“He had no headaches and his health checkup two years ago showed no abnormalities,” Chae-won added. “Since he did not get an MRA, the aneurysm could not be detected.”<\/p>\n

Dong-hyun’s funeral was held at Konkuk University Medical Center yesterday (September 9), with Chae-won serving as chief mourner at the request of his sister.<\/p>\n

Addressing rumors surrounding her personal life in the same public announcement, she set several records straight by sharing: “When we married, he was in his first marriage, while I was divorced with a son. I prepared the newlywed home, and we split living expenses equally. When we divorced, there was no property division \u2014 each kept what we had earned.<\/p>\n

“It hurts to hear that I served as chief mourner for money,” she went on to note.<\/p>\n

“We shared years together, and I simply wanted to accompany him on his final journey. The farewell was so sudden that it is still hard to believe. But Daedo Library lived happily with his beloved family, friends, and fans. Please do not worry too much \u2014 let us hold on to the good memories.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
