On Tuesday, September 9, Hilary Duff<\/a> announced that she will release new music. Her upcoming projects come by way of a newly-signed deal with Atlantic Records. Details about a new EP or album are being kept under wraps, however, Duff shared some photos from a recording studio on Instagram. In one picture, Duff\u2019s husband singer-songwriter Matthew Koma<\/a> appears to be contributing to the production of some of her music,<\/p>\n Fans will get more details about Duff\u2019s new music era in an upcoming docuseries directed by Sam Wrench \u2014 who previously directed the concert film for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour <\/em>and Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s holiday variety show A Nonsense Christmas<\/em>.<\/p>\n According to a press release, the docuseries will highlight Duff as she endures \u201cthe ups, downs and everything in between,\u201d that comes with making a grand comeback. Additionally, \u201cfans will ride shotgun as she balances raising a family, recording new music, live show rehearsals, and preparing to perform on stage for the first time in over a decade.\u201d<\/p>\n Duff last released original music in 2015 with her studio album Breathe In<\/em>, Breathe Out<\/em>. Breathe In, Breathe Out <\/em>spawned hits like \u201cSparks\u201d and \u201cChasing the Sun.\u201d A release date for Duff\u2019s next album or a single, and a premiere date for the docuseries, have not yet been announced.<\/p>\n Since she last put out an album, Duff has shifted her focus to acting, with roles on shows like Younger <\/em>and How I Met Your Father<\/em>.
