Wheel of Fortune<\/a> watchers immediately recognize the iconic \u201cclick, click, click\u201d of the wheel as it makes its way around \u2014 and Ryan Seacrest<\/strong> finally revealed the secret behind the famous sound.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know the clicking sound, there are rubber bands \u2013 like you used to have with orthodontia on your teeth \u2013 that\u2019s what makes the clicking,\u201d Seacrest, 50, told Good Morning America<\/a> in an interview published on September 5.<\/p>\n

Vanna White<\/strong>, who was with Seacrest during the interview, added that even she wasn\u2019t aware of what made the signature sound.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know I never knew that?\u201d White, 68, said to Seacrest.<\/p>\n

The American Idol host stepped into Pat Sajak\u2019s<\/strong> role on the long-running game show<\/a> in September 2024, and White said he\u2019s had no trouble fitting in.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just slipped right in like he\u2019d been doing it forever,\u201d the long-time letter-turner said.<\/p>\n

However, fans don\u2019t have to worry about White leaving her spot anytime soon. \u201cI\u2019m not ready to retire,\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019m having too much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sajak, 78, joined the game show after Chuck Woolery<\/strong> left in 1981. He was personally selected as the host by Merv Griffin<\/strong>, and he oversaw the show for over 40 years, making him one of the longest-running game show hosts in history.<\/p>\n

White arrived in 1982 after she won a hostess audition \u2014 and her chemistry with Sajak immediately drew fans in. She even got emotional about his retirement during his last episode.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs this chapter of our lives is coming to an end, I know you\u2019ll still be close by,\u201d White told her friend. \u201cYou\u2019re like a brother to me and I consider you a true lifelong friend who I will always adore. I love you, Pat.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
