Robin Wright <\/strong><\/a>will never forget an experience with a \u201cvery successful\u201d director that left her in tears.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to preface it with [it was] a man who really doesn\u2019t like women,\u201d Wright, 59, said during the Wednesday, September 10, episode of the \u201cHow to Fail\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI was very young and shy, and I was traveling in a helicopter with this director out to the middle of a desert in California \u2014 I mean, in the middle of a desert, like, nothing around where the set was \u2014 to meet a very, very famous actor or two that he was directing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wright claimed she was \u201cushered into the trailer\u201d to meet the star and recalled being \u201cnervous as hell\u201d for the face-to-face.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart\u2019s palpitating and I\u2019m just sweating. I didn\u2019t know what to say,\u201d the actress recalled. \u201cI thought protocol would be what I was accustomed to, which is when you\u2019re invited in, you are introduced to this new person.\u201d<\/p>\n

While making her 2019 directorial debut, Booksmart, Olivia Wilde remembered getting really \u201cterrible advice\u201d from a fellow actor turned director [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She claimed there was \u201cno intro\u201d and just \u201cdead silence\u201d in the room.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started to feel like it was my responsibility to start the meeting. I was a baby,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe yelled at me and said, \u2018Speak.\u2019 I got up out of the trailer and I ran out into the desert, started crying.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted that it was over 100 degrees outside when she was crying. The \u201cvery established older actor\u201d who was in the trailer was \u201cincredibly kind\u201d to Wright and offered her help.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe came out and saw me squatting in what little shade I got from one side of the car, and I squatted down and I was crying, and he was like, \u2018You\u2019re going to get heat stroke,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cHe walked me into the production trailer that was air conditioned and I said, \u2018Can somebody just get me a driver to the airport?\u2019 And I got out of there.\u201d<\/p>\n
