A former butler is sharing details about his time working for the royal family, and he\u2019s not holding back. In a new interview, the ex-Buckingham Palace insider revealed more tea about when Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/span> joined the family. And he hints at the reason she and Prince Harry<\/strong><\/span> ended up stepping back from the monarchy.<\/p>\n If you\u2019ve ever wanted to be a fly on the wall of Buckingham Palace, now\u2019s your chance. Grant Harrold, former butler to King Charles, is spilling all of their secrets. The insider has written a book about his time in service, titled \u201cThe Royal Butler.\u201d<\/p>\n His juicy anecdotes aren\u2019t confined to his memoir, however. In a recent interview with Page Six<\/a> he made some eyebrow-raising remarks about his former employers. He said that Meghan didn\u2019t quite grasp the importance of her royal duties and sticking to engagements, which are set months in advance.<\/p>\n He explained: \u201cShe would rather have lunch with her friends, thinking that was fine and it wasn\u2019t. That\u2019s not how it works. You can\u2019t change it. She obviously thought she could come in and do her thing, and you can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n He didn\u2019t stop there, adding: \u201cI think the problem with Meghan is that she went into the organization and she assumed that after watching all the Disney princesses that she thought it was going to be like that. When you join the royal family, you are given rules and protocols to follow.\u201d<\/p>\n Meghan has previously spoken about her difficulty to adapt to royal rules<\/a>.<\/p>\n On Meghan\u2019s relationship with Prince Harry, he noted that \u201cAs soon as Meghan came into his life, everything changed. It could be that Harry had his own awakening and suddenly decided he didn\u2019t like the organization, but the problem is that Meghan was with him when it happened.\u201d<\/p>\n The former butler also said that Harry\u2019s relationship with King Charles<\/span> may be irreparable. He said: \u201cThe king doesn\u2019t trust Harry, because of what Harry has said. He worried that he would use it to his advantage. And he has.
