The Minneapolis electronic indie-pop group has been guided by Channy Leaneagh\u2019s warm vocals since they debuted in 2011, cultivating a devoted local fan base in the time since. They\u2019ve suggested their upcoming album Dreams Go<\/em> (out Oct. 17) will be their last, and while there are\u00a0the synths and head-bopping beats\u00a0you\u2019d expect from them,\u00a0\u201cShe Knows Me\u201d\u00a0is a softly strummed, devastating, and minimal swan song\u00a0with subtle pockets of glitchy distortion, like\u00a0the last flickers of a flame that burned bright.<\/p>\n \u201cSickness\u201d by Runo Plum<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n The Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter Runo Plum has crafted an intimate album that’s like overhearing someone’s internal monologue: vulnerable and honest with their deepest thoughts. The folk-leaning single \u201cSickness\u201d is a taste of it, about wrestling with something that might not be great for you:\u00a0“What’s the line of taking\u00a0it too far? I’m getting good at distracting,” she sings.\u00a0Patching<\/em> is out Nov. 14\u2014right on time to hit you in your fall feelings.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWhen It\u2019s Gonna End\u201d by Clayton Ryan and Molly Brandt<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Clayton Ryan and Molly Brandt weave a country-laced tune that revolves around the pain and struggles of growing older in a confined space on \u201cWhen It\u2019s Gonna End.\u201d Ryan\u2019s low-end blends well with Brandt\u2019s harmonies as they belt out heartrendingly poignant lyrics, all the while nursing other emotional wounds surrounding\u00a0the passing of life and the life you were meant to live.<\/p>\n \u201cHeartbreak of the Century\u201d by Poster Boy<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Tracing pop tunes that go back as far as the \u201880s, Cole Pivec and Henning Hanson of Poster Boy craft music that gets you on your feet and swaying and grooving in your normcore windbreaker. Their music is of no particular genre and continues to change the zeitgeist by consistently challenging it with their signature blend of rhythms, bright guitar-driven riffs, and electronic pop.<\/p>\n
