Charlie Kirk<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s wife, Erika Kirk<\/strong> (n\u00e9e Frantzve), shared a bible verse just hours before the conservative political commentator<\/a> was shot and killed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cPsalm 46:1 \u2013 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,\u201d she wrote in a post shared via X at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, hours before her husband was fatally shot in the neck<\/a> while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. He was 31.<\/p>\n

At the time of publication, a suspect has not been identified. According to FBI agent Kash Patel<\/strong> and Utah Governor Spencer Cox<\/strong>, a \u201cperson of interest<\/a>\u201d was taken into custody and being interviewed. \u201cThe subject in custody has been released after an interrogation by law enforcement. Our investigation continues and we will continue to release information in interest of transparency,\u201d Patel, 45, later posted.<\/p>\n

The shooting is being treated as a political assassination.<\/p>\n

The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary just months ago in May. They share two young children \u2014 a daughter, Sarah Rose, 3, and a 15-month-old son whose name has not been publicly revealed.<\/p>\n

The media personality said he and his wife first connected during a \u201cvery, very long dinner\u201d after which he knew \u201calmost immediately\u201d that she was \u201cThe One,\u201d he shared in a 2024 Turning Point USA video.<\/p>\n
