CMAT<\/a> has announced her return to Australia, which will take place almost exactly a year after her first trip here in January of 2026. The acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter will be touring in support of her recently-released third studio album Euro-Country<\/em>, which was released late last month on Friday, August 29th. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing info, can be found below.<\/p>\n It was earlier this year, in January of 2025, that CMAT made her Australian debut as part of the line-up<\/a> for A Day On The Green<\/a>. There, she performed alongside The Teskey Brothers<\/a>, Band Of Horses<\/a>, Sierra Ferrell<\/a> and Charlie Needs Braces \u2013 as well as playing her own headlining shows<\/a> in Sydney and Melbourne \u2013 supported by Killing Heidi<\/a> vocalist, fellow alt-country singer-songwriter Ella Hooper<\/a>.<\/p>\n Since she performed in Australia, CMAT\u2019s profile has raised exponentially. \u2018Take A Sexy Picture Of Me\u2019, the second single to be lifted from Euro-Country<\/em>, was a viral success on TikTok and saw her making her UK Singles Chart debut. The album\u2019s title track, too, has become her most successful single to date in her native Ireland, peaking at number nine on the Irish Singles Chart.<\/p>\n Euro-Country<\/em> itself debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart, marking a hat trick following her 2022 debut If My Wife New I\u2019d Be Dead<\/em> and its 2023 follow-up Crazymad, For Me<\/em> also accomplishing the same feat. The album also debuted at number two on both the UK and Scotland\u2019s albums chart, marking her first time in the top ten for either. It is nominated for the 2025 Mercury Prize, alongside FKA Twigs<\/a>, PinkPantheress<\/a>, Sam Fender<\/a>, Pulp<\/a> and fellow Irish act Fontaines D.C.<\/a><\/p>\n In a press statement, CMAT has described Euro-Country<\/em> as \u201cthe best thing I have ever made\u201d. \u201cI felt halfway through recording it was the most important record I\u2019ve made for myself\u2026 mainly because it was making me go crazy,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m always going to make the work I want to make, because there is a little gremlin in my head that tells me if it\u2019s shit.
