The Associated Press<\/a> won\u2019t have to face a defamation lawsuit over its reporting on the outcome of a trial between a U.S. Navy<\/a> veteran and celebrity.land<\/a>, which earlier this year lost a case over a 2021 story falsely accusing him of operating a \u201cblack market\u201d scheme to evacuate Afghans in the aftermath of the U.S. military withdrawal from the country.<\/p>\n
