Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/a> has explained why returning to the United States is \u201cgoing to be a challenge\u201d for her as she revealed that she didn\u2019t attend her daughter\u2019s college graduation due to her longtime feud with President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The comedian, in a recent episode<\/a> of Mamamia\u2019s \u201cNo Filter\u201d podcast, opened up about moving to Ireland back in January and claimed that her security personnel \u201cdidn\u2019t think it was wise\u201d for her to go back for the occasion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBecause I think Trump will use me to rile his base … I\u2019m his nemesis in his mind and to them, a lot of \u2014 like a third of the country,\u201d said O\u2019Donnell, who has recently faced<\/a> threats<\/a> from the president to revoke her U.S. citizenship.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Earlier this year, O\u2019Donnell \u2014 whom the president has described as a \u201cthreat to humanity\u201d \u2014 shared that she moved to Ireland<\/a> with her daughter Dakota less than a week before the start of the president\u2019s second term.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n By March, she said she was in the process of obtaining Irish citizenship and would consider coming back to America when it is \u201csafe for all citizens to have equal rights there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She told \u201cNo Filter\u201d host Kate Langbroek that the move was \u201cvery hard,\u201d adding that it \u201cwas not a political statement as much as it was self-preservation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI knew that the last time he was in office was very difficult for me,\u201d said O\u2019Donnell of Trump, who remarked that she ate \u201ctoo much\u201d and was excessively \u201cdrinking\u201d during his first term.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She noted that Trump hasn\u2019t stopped using her \u201cas a punchline\u201d since she first criticized him<\/a> on \u201cThe View\u201d whereas \u201cmany, many, many male comedians\u201d have said similar or \u201cworse\u201d about the president without a similar response.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cHe\u2019s misogynistic and sexist and cruel,\u201d she said of the president.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI think that our tumult … it created a lot of problems.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n 20 Years Of<\/span>Free<\/span>Journalism<\/span><\/p>\n Your Support<\/span>Fuels<\/span>Our Mission<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Your Support<\/span>Fuels<\/span>Our Mission<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
