Twisted Sister are ready to rock\u2014again. The 1980s glam rockers will reunite for a tour next year to mark their 50th anniversary, the band announced in a surprise post on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n The post shared to social media announced that lead singer Dee Snider<\/strong>, guitarists Jay Jay French<\/strong> and Eddie Ojeda<\/strong>, bassist Russell Pz\u00fctto<\/strong>, and drummer Joe \u201cSeven\u201d Franco<\/strong> will \u201chit stages around the world\u201d for a reunion tour in 2026.<\/p>\n Snider, 70, added, \u201cIf you\u2019re lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years (!), how can you not answer the call?\u201d<\/p>\n The rocker, known for his wild hair and makeup in the 1980s, recently teased the possibility that something was in the works. In August, Snider replied to a fan on X who asked him about offers to do a Twisted Sister reunion.<\/p>\n \u201cMmmm… 2026 is the 50th anniversary of me, @EddieOjeda<\/a> and @jayjayfrench<\/a> joining forces. J. Pero were behind the band\u2019s classic, MTV-era hits in the early 1980s. But the band actually formed in the 1970s.<\/p>\n In a press release posted on the Twisted Sister website<\/a>, French recalled the exact date that Twisted Sister was formed. \u201cBeginning on February 2nd 1976 and a little bar called the Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, NY, Dee Snider, Eddie Ojeda and I have called ourselves Twisted Sister and stood shoulder to shoulder for nearly five decades, through multiple personal changes and thousands of performances,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are proud to celebrate a milestone that once felt unthinkable: a 50-year anniversary!!” he added, “We have created a music and performance legacy that has and will continue to inspire millions of fans around the world. Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted!\u201d<\/p>\n This won’t be Twisted Sister’s first anniversary tour.
