The Temper Trap<\/a> have announced they will embark on a whirlwind, 72-hour east coast Australian tour \u2013 taking in three cities in three days. Instead of the larger rooms the band have been accustomed to since the late 2000s, the shows will instead be in some of the smallest rooms the band have played in quite some time. All dates and ticketing information can be found below.<\/p>\n The Melbourne indie-rock band made their official comeback almost a month ago with the release of \u2018Lucky Dimes\u2019<\/a> \u2013 their first new original song in almost a decade. \u201cIt\u2019s good to know that nine years after the last one, we still have something to say,\u201d said the band\u2019s frontman Dougy Mandagi in a press statement at the time of the single\u2019s release. \u201cIt\u2019s been an absolute pleasure creating this record, and we can\u2019t wait to share it with you; not to relive the past, but to write the next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n Mandagi and co. will roadtest more new material from their as-yet-untitled fourth studio album, on which \u2018Lucky Dimes\u2019 will feature, at these upcoming shows. Inevitably, the shows will conclude with \u2018Sweet Disposition\u2019 \u2013 which, in July, was voted in at number 11 in\u00a0triple j<\/a>\u2018s\u00a0Hottest 100 Of Australian Songs<\/a>. The station described the song as a \u201cubiquitous indie anthem we\u2019ve come to hold deep in our hearts\u201d when announcing its placement. \u201cWe were all so green and inexperienced in making and performing music,\u201d said Mandagi when speaking to the station about the creation of the song. \u201cI guess \u2018Sweet Disposition\u2019 sort of encapsulated that moment in our lives perfectly.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the October shows, The Temper Trap will hit the new year\u2019s festival circuit with a set<\/a> at Beyond The Valley<\/a> in the central-southwest Victorian township of Barunah Plains.
