\u201cDaily Show<\/a>\u201d correspondent Michael Kosta<\/a> ripped President Donald Trump<\/a> on Wednesday for making the Department of Defense<\/a> seem \u201cweaker\u201d after signing an executive order to give it a secondary nickname: the Department of War.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cNot a good sign when a country suddenly sets up a Department of War, what\u2019s the president trying to tell us about what\u2019s going to happen?\u201d Kosta said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like when your doctor asks you come in and discuss your test results in person. Uh, why? So we can high-five over how few STDs I have?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Kosta mocked the president for describing the DOD name \u2014 which the department began using in 1949 \u2014 as \u201cwoke,\u201d joking that it was a \u201cfamously woke time period in American history.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI guess wokeness is also why we lost in Vietnam, huh? Big mistake to carpet bomb that country with DVDs of the Black \u2018Little Mermaid,\u2019\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He then played a clip of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth<\/a>\u2019s \u201cfunky\u201d remarks on the rebrand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to go on offense, not just on defense,\u201d said the former Fox News<\/a> host in rap-like comments in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cMaximum lethality, not tepid legality. Violent effect, not politically correct.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Kosta, who responded to Hegseth with raps of his own, pitched another nickname for the Pentagon with a \u201cmaximum lethality\u201d vibe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThat name\u2019s not scaring anyone. Pentagon? That\u2019s just a pretentious square. You want the world quivering in their boots? From now on, it should be \u2014,\u201d he began before using a deep voice effect and a fiery circle appeared around him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
