Hours after conservative commentator Charlie Kirk<\/a> was fatally shot at a speaking event in Utah on Wednesday (September 10), his friend Savannah Chrisley<\/a> took to social media to share her heartbreak.<\/p>\n The Turning Point USA founder was shot in the neck<\/a> on Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, as part of his \u201cAmerican Comeback Tour\u201d series, an event Savannah revealed she was supposed to be a part of in October.<\/p>\n \u201cI am numb. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m even writing these words,\u201d the The Chrisleys: Back to Reality<\/em><\/a> star wrote on TikTok. \u201cCharlie Kirk changed my life\u2026he brought me into the Turning Point family this past year, and I was supposed to be standing next to him at every college this October. Instead, I sit here with a broken heart, devastated beyond words.\u201d<\/p>\n In the accompanying video, Savannah said she became friends with Kirk over the past two years after he supported her campaign to free her parents, Todd<\/a> and Julie Chrisley<\/a>, from prison. Todd and Julie were convicted of bank and tax fraud in 2022 and sentenced to a combined 19 years in federal prison. President Donald Trump<\/a> pardoned them back in May.<\/p>\n \u201cToday\u2019s been a tough day,\u201d an emotional Savannah said in the video, per Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThe past two and a half years of my life have been some of the hardest years I\u2019ve ever had to endure, but in those two and a half years, I\u2019ve met so many people great people and lifelong friends, and one of those people that brought me into their world was Charlie Kirk.\u201d<\/p>\n She went on to say how Kirk \u201cgave me a voice as a woman, made me feel like I had the power to show up in this world.\u201d<\/p>\n Savannah also shared her condolences for Kirk\u2019s wife, Erika Frantzve, with whom he shared two young children. \u201cI\u2019m truly grieving for his wife, Erica,\u201d the Chrisley Knows Best<\/em><\/a> alum stated. \u201cOne of the kindest, most loving human beings I\u2019ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.\u201d<\/p>\n After revealing she was \u201csupposed to be sitting next to Charlie every weekend in October,\u201d as part of his college campus tour, Savannah concluded, \u201cPray for Charlie. Pray for his parents, his children, his entire family. Erica, my heart is with you. I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n In the caption of the post, she noted how Kirk \u201cbelieved in me and in my family when the world turned its back,\u201d adding, \u201cHe saw potential, he spoke life into us, and he reminded me that God still had a plan even when I couldn\u2019t see it myself.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCharlie\u2026you changed America. You changed me. You changed my family. Rest easy, my friend. Heaven has gained a warrior,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
