They were happy to hear the news of Charlie Kirk\u2019s death and can be heard clapping and cheering before passing the\u2026 <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gqtQdq9Gwi\">pic.twitter.com\/gqtQdq9Gwi<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Laura Loomer (@LauraLoomer) <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LauraLoomer\/status\/1965904777193070922?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 10, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>TMZ founder Harvey Levin and executive producer Charles Latibeaudiere said that the \u201ctone deaf laughter\u201d was from journalists who were covering a car chase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were livestreaming all day during this tragedy, when something happened in our office,\u201d Levin said in a video <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TMZ\/status\/1965935213726548011\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> late Wednesday.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201c\u2018As we were reporting the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there were some people in the back room \u2014 away from our news desk here \u2014 who were watching a car chase, and they were laughing. They were clapping.
