Michael Caine is coming out of retirement at age 92 for a new movie, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n
The legendary actor will have a role in a sequel to \u201cThe Last Witch Hunter,\u201d Variety<\/a> and Deadline<\/a> have confirmed. <\/p>\n Though a deal for Caine hasn\u2019t been finalized, he is expected to reprise his character, Dolan, opposite Vin Diesel as an immortal witch hunter named Kaulder. <\/p>\n \u201cThe Last Witch Hunter,\u201d released in 2015, grossed $130 million at the global box office. Deadline reports the sci-fi\/fantasy adventure remained popular on ancillary markets and streaming, becoming one of the top five most viewed movies on Netflix this year.<\/p>\n Caine played a priest who assists Diesel\u2019s warrior character as he fights to stop a plague caused by a witch queen. It has been described as a passion project for Diesel, who previously compared it to his own \u201cDungeons & Dragons\u201d campaigns.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018The Last Witch Hunter\u2019 has grown since its theatrical release into a global fan favorite, with audiences continuing to discover and rewatch it across every platform over the past decade. That enduring enthusiasm made clear there is an appetite for more stories set in this world,\u201d Lionsgate Motion Picture group chair Adam Fogelson said in a statement to Variety. \u201cVin and I have partnered many times over the years, and he is a true force in our industry.
