Don\u2019t expect The Police to get back together anytime soon.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s according to drummer Stewart Copeland, who \u2014 in an interview with LouderSound<\/a> \u2014 said the chances of the iconic 1980s rock band reforming are highly unlikely.<\/p>\n \u201cThose odds are slim. We are enjoying life \u2014 and each other \u2014 too much away from being in a band together,” he said. \u201cWhy jeopardize it by going back into that place where we shout and scream at each other all of the time? I understand now why we did that, because we had band therapy.\u201d<\/p>\n Copeland added that \u201cthe three of us were put on this planet to make different kinds of music.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked if he still gets along with his former bandmates, Copeland responded affirmatively.<\/p>\n \u201cOh yeah. The three of us would end up in one corner right away,\u201d he said. \u201cOr maybe I\u2019d go over into Sting\u2019s corner and gripe for a while about Andy and then head into Andy\u2019s corner and gripe to him about Sting. Because you know damned well that before I got there, their heads were together having a good ol\u2019 gripe about me.\u201d<\/p>\n Still, there\u2019s another reason that might waylay any attempts at a reunion.
