{"id":2014242,"date":"2025-09-11T14:02:04","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T14:02:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2014242"},"modified":"2025-09-11T14:02:04","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T14:02:04","slug":"jen-affleck-shares-dream-scenario-with-whitney-leavitt-on-dwts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/jen-affleck-shares-dream-scenario-with-whitney-leavitt-on-dwts\/","title":{"rendered":"Jen Affleck shares \u2018dream scenario\u2019 with Whitney Leavitt on DWTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F2%2F2025%2F09%2Fnewspress-collage-mobvbpubk-1757014050938.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall%261756999720\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>She\u2019s dancing away the baby blues.<\/p>\n<p>For most people, signing up for a dance competition watched by millions of people less than three months after having a baby would be absolutely crazy \u2014 but for \u201cThe Secret Lives of Mormon Wives\u201d star Jen Affleck, it may be the thing that keeps her from going crazy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just excited and so grateful,\u201d she told The Post, shrugging off the possibility of nerves ahead of her \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d debut.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomething I\u2019ve dealt with throughout all my pregnancies, and after my pregnancies, has been depression \u2014 so I\u2019m grateful to have this opportunity, because I think it\u2019s going to distract me from what I could be experiencing.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Jen Affleck, pictured with dance partner Jan Ravnik, told The Post that \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d will help her beat away postpartum depression. <span class=\"credit\">Disney<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a win-win because not only am I doing something I love, but I\u2019m also exercising and avoiding those baby blues and everything you experience postpartum,\u201d she went on. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough doing this, even though it\u2019s a lot and I\u2019m juggling a lot, I think I\u2019m coming out a better version of myself and showing up as a better mom because of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you feel good, you do good. I feel like you can\u2019t show up as the best version of yourself if you personally aren\u2019t feeling good. It should be every mom\u2019s priority to take care of themselves, to get that rest. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s so important because you can\u2019t pour from an empty cup. And I think it\u2019s very important to fill your cup because then you\u2019re able to give more. Feel good, do good \u2014 that\u2019s my motto.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jen, 26, shares kids Nora and Lucas with her husband Zac \u2014\u00a0and the pair welcomed baby Penelope, whom they call Penny, in July. <\/p>\n<p>Their baby announcement came the day after Hulu aired the reunion episode of \u201cMormon Wives,\u201d where host Nick Viall revealed that Jen and her costar Whitney Leavitt had both been picked as contestants for season 34 of DWTS.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI am just doing it,\u201d she said. \u201cI think as moms you just do it. Whatever the situation is, you just figure it out.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">@jenniferlaffleck\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>It meant a quick move from Utah to LA with her family, plus jumping into rehearsals at a time when many moms are still on maternity leave. <\/p>\n<p>But Jen \u2014 who also recently teamed up with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-oil.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">Bio-Oil<\/a> on their Labor of Love campaign \u2014 said she\u2019s making it work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am just doing it,\u201d she said. \u201cI think as moms you just do it. Whatever the situation is, you just figure it out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for her competition, Jen is pumped to team up with dancer Jan Ravnik to go up against Whitney and her dancer, Mark Ballas \u2014 and it\u2019s \u201cabsolutely\u201d more of a support system than a rivalry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt least on my end! Just kidding,\u201d she said with a laugh.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Jen said the competition coming down to just her and Whitney Leavitt would be a \u201cdream scenario.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Disney<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cHaving Whitney, knowing that she\u2019s already a friend of mine and we work together \u2014 I think it\u2019s just gonna make the experience even more exciting,\u201d she said, adding that she\u2019d be happy to do a duet with her reality TV pal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not a professional dancer like a Whitney is. She actually has a dancing background \u2026 her degree is in dancing.
