The premiere of Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars<\/span><\/strong> is almost here. And some contestants are sharing their feelings about hitting the ballroom. Conservationist Robert Irwin<\/span><\/strong>, who is paired with pro Witney Carson<\/span>, has some jitters.<\/p>\n Fans have enjoyed seeing the fun behind-the-scenes content created by the DWTS contestants and their partners. Robert posted a video via social media, testing Witney\u2019s knowledge of Australian slang<\/a>. It was hilarious! Of course, Robert and Witney have also been rehearsing as the competitor\u2019s first live dance approaches. And Robert isn\u2019t afraid to admit that he feels a bit out of his element.<\/p>\n Robert plans to honor his late father<\/a>, well-known conservationist Steve Irwin<\/span>, by channeling his father\u2019s zest for life. Steve died in 2006 following a stingray attack. Plus, Robert\u2019s sister, Bindi Irwin<\/span>, took home the Mirrorball in Season 21. So, Robert has ties to DWTS<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cLook, if you think\u00a0you\u2019re<\/em>\u00a0bad at dancing, multiply that by 100!\u201d Robert told PEOPLE<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve never tried it, I don\u2019t wear sequins, I\u2019m not in this world at all. So it\u2019s super new, and it\u2019s terrifying, but it\u2019s also awesome.\u201d He continued, \u201cIt\u2019s an adrenaline rush. I\u2019m not really living if I\u2019m not on the edge just a little bit.\u201d Crikey!<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Robert spends most of his time at his family\u2019s zoo in Australia. \u201cWe don\u2019t know what tomorrow holds, so you have to take calculated risks, you have to have fun, enjoy what you\u2019re doing, and give everything 100 percent,\u201d Robert explained. \u201cBut you also have to be sensible about it \u2013 my family always tries to remind me of that!\u201d Of course, most people wouldn\u2019t consider wrangling around with crocodiles \u201csensible.\u201d<\/p>\n During his time on DWTS, Robert hopes to share his passion for wildlife conservation. \u201cYes, here are all the terrible things happening, but there\u2019s still time. We can fix it,\u201d Robert said.<\/p>\n Dancing with the Stars<\/a>\u00a0Season 34 will premiere on Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+.
