Actor and stuntman Neil Summers, who had roles in such films as \u201cDick Tracy\u201d and \u201cRobocop\u201d has died. He was 81. <\/p>\n
David Friedman, a family friend, told TMZ <\/a>that Summers died in his Utah home on Sept. 4, surrounded by loved ones. An official cause of death has not yet been announced. <\/p>\n Summers is perhaps best known for playing The Rodent in the 1990 Warren Beaty movie \u201cDick Tracy,\u201d based off of the popular comic strip. <\/p>\n He also had roles in \u201cRoboCop,\u201d \u201cThe Shawshank Redemption\u201d and \u201cMy Name Is Nobody.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition, Summers did stuntwork for a number of other films, including \u201cHoles,\u201d \u201cBedazzled,\u201d \u201cU.S. Marshalls,\u201d \u201cHarry and the Hendersons,\u201d \u201cHoward the Duck,\u201d \u201cBetter Off Dead,\u201d \u201cThe Outlaw Josey Wales,\u201d and \u201cMars Attacks!\u201d<\/p>\n As a stuntman, he also worked with Elvis, John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, and doubled for Warren Oates and Roddy McDowall. <\/p>\n He is survived by his partner, Karen, as well as his sister, niece and nephew. <\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
