HBO is officially moving ahead on Big Little Lies<\/a> season 3. On September 11, 2025, reports confirmed the series is in development at the network, and that Francesca Sloane\u2014the Mr. & Mrs. Smith<\/a> showrunner\u2014has been tapped to write the first episode. The new installment is actively taking shape at HBO.<\/p>\n

Sloane<\/a> will pen the pilot and collaborate with returning executive producers David E. Kelley<\/a>, Nicole Kidman<\/a>, and Reese Witherspoon<\/a>. The development is still early, but the creative team is aligning behind the next chapter.<\/p>\n
