As of now, Deadline notes, the future of the show is \u201cuncertain,\u201d with the report mentioning that the reason for the show\u2019s delay is due to casting issues.<\/p>\n Previously, Mark Eydelshteyn<\/a> (Anora) and Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) were tapped to star in Season 2 of the show as the titular Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Following that, a ton of rumors<\/a> on potential guest stars began popping up, including reports that actors like Lily-Rose Depp, Francesca Scorsese, Levon Hawke, Wagner Moura, Gael Garcia Bernal, and more were all considered for roles.<\/p>\n Deadline\u2019s report notes that no deals have been closed for any cast, though, and that the new season is now on \u201cindefinite hold.\u201d It\u2019s unclear if or when the project will begin filming again.
