In Dapperton\u2019s hands, it becomes a cross-generational bridge between \u201990s nostalgia and today\u2019s remix culture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI grew up shopping <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/footwear-news\/shoe-industry-news\/genesco-gco-q1-2026-sales-above-expectations-1237896103\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">at Journeys<\/a>, and this song was basically the soundtrack to my youth,\u201d Dapperton said in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s always held a special place for me, so getting to bring it back to life with someone as iconic as [New Radicals frontman] Gregg Alexander was surreal.
