Spotify is feeling the thunder of Hilary Duff\u2019s musical comeback<\/a>. Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal that searches for Hilary Duff on the streaming service increased by 400 percent after she announced that she would be returning to music after a decade away.<\/p>\n The growth across Duff\u2019s catalog is massive: U.S. streams on Spotify jumped nearly 80 percent, while discoveries, or first-time listeners, rose by 75 percent. According to the new data, millennials (understandably) accounted for the largest share of searches and streams among all age groups.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n As for specific albums, her 2004 self-titled album \u2014 which featured \u201cFly\u201d and \u201cSomeone\u2019s Watching Over Me\u201d \u2014 and 2007\u2019s Dignity both saw surges of 130 percent on the platform.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, Atlantic Records announced that Duff had signed to the label and that she will star in a Sam Wrench-directed docuseries about her return to music, the preparations for her new material, and her return to the stage. \u201cNew music \u2026 or something \ud83e\udea9\u2728\ud83c\udf52,\u201d Duff captioned an Instagram<\/a> post earlier this week.<\/p>\n Duff has been teasing her return to music over the last few months, sharing photos of herself<\/a> in the studio. On Aug. 26, she\u00a0celebrated<\/a>\u00a0the 22nd anniversary of her beloved second album,\u00a0Metamorphosis, and ended the caption with a cryptic \u201cTo be continued\u2026.\u201d Metamorphosis featured her biggest hits, including \u201cSo Yesterday,\u201d \u201cCome Clean,\u201d and \u201cWhy Not.\u201d<\/p>\n She called this era in her career \u201ca huge change in my being,\u201d adding that she \u201cwas embarking on something I had no idea would make such an impact on people\u2019s lives, and mine.\u201d Duff said that although she doesn\u2019t think\u00a0Metamorphosis\u00a0\u201cdoesn\u2019t hold the emotional depth I look for today,\u201d she knows her \u201c14\/15 year old self meant every word.\u201d Duff last released an album in 2015 with\u00a0Breathe In.
