Ne-Yo<\/strong><\/a> opened up about his \u201cphenomenal\u201d polyamorous relationship with \u201cfour beautiful ladies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in a great space,\u201d the \u201cSo Sick\u201d rapper, 45, revealed during an appearance on Kai Cenat<\/strong>\u2019s YouTube stream<\/a> on Wednesday, September 10 (via People<\/em><\/a>). \u201cI am currently in a polyamorous relationship. I have four beautiful ladies that move with me on the regular.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) went public with his polyamorous lifestyle<\/a> in February, following his split from ex-wife<\/a> Crystal Renay Williams<\/strong> in 2022. At the time, he introduced his girlfriends as Cristina<\/strong> (a.k.a. \u201cPretty Baby\u201d), Arielle<\/strong> (a.k.a. \u201cTwin Flame\u201d), Moneii<\/strong> (a.k.a \u201cPhoenix Feather\u201d) and Bri<\/strong> (a.k.a. \u201cSexy Lil\u2019 Somethin’\u201d).<\/p>\n

During his appearance on Cenat\u2019s stream, Ne-Yo spoke about the practicalities of his four relationships. For example, they all sleep in extra-large Alaskan King beds that Ne-Yo compared to \u201ctwo California King [mattresses] next to each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNe-Yo and ex-fianc\u00e9e Monyetta Shaw-Carter allegedly broke up after he frequently wanted to open up their relationship. \u201cWe cheated together, if that makes sense,\u201d Shaw-Carter, 43, claimed during a Tuesday, August 29, interview on \u201cHaus of Aaron,\u201d holding up three figures to seemingly indicate a threesome. \u201cWe did things together. It\u2019s not cheating if you\u2019re [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Viewers also learned that Ne-Yo is not \u201clegally married\u201d to any of the four women he\u2019s seeing, yet he still considers each of them his \u201cwives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked why he decided to pursue polyamory after his divorce, Ne-Yo candidly admitted: \u201cI\u2019m 45 years old. At this point in my life, everything I do is about what\u2019s best for me, what\u2019s best for my kids [and] what\u2019s best for my tribe. That\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The musician went on, \u201cI\u2019m going to keep it a buck with you. I was married before this to one woman. Things didn\u2019t go well. I made my mistakes. We got divorced. A lot of people got hurt in the process, and I told myself at that moment I ain\u2019t lying to nobody about nothing ever again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ne-Yo mentioned he was already seeing one of his current \u201cwives\u201d when he broke the news to her that he wanted to pursue multiple women at the same time.<\/p>\n

The Grammy Award-winning artist is a father of seven. He shares daughter Madilyn Grace, born in 2010, and son Mason Evan, born in 2011, with former Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/em> star Monyetta Shaw-Carter<\/strong>, and later had sons Shaffer Chimere Jr. and Roman Alexander-Raj, born in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and daughter Isabella Rose, born in 2021, with ex-wife Williams. Ne-Yo and former partner Sade Jenea Bagnerise<\/strong> are parents to sons Braiden and Brixton, born in 2021 and 2023, respectively.<\/p>\n

In February, Ne-Yo confirmed during a radio interview that he was honest with all of his children<\/a> about pursuing polyamory.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNe-Yo is apologizing to the LGBTQ+ community for his recent comments about children discovering their gender identity. \u201cAfter much reflection, I\u2019d like to express my deepest apologies to anyone that I may have hurt with my comments on parenting and gender identity,\u201d Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith), 43, wrote in a statement via X [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI answer them [truthfully],\u201d he insisted during an appearance on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show<\/em>. \u201c[It\u2019s] honesty. I\u2019m not lying to nobody, not even my children.\u201d<\/p>\n
