(KOLO) &#8211; FAM Fest is back for year two at the Sparks Marina, featuring a jam-packed, fun-filled family day to highlight the importance of supporting Washoe County\u2019s foster children, youth and families.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">The Washoe County Human Services (HSA) invites the community to become part of the FAM by hanging out and having fun at the Sparks Marina on <i>Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. \u2013 3 p.m<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">HSA Children\u2019s Services is launching our new brand, \u201cFAM,\u201d which brings awareness to \u201cFostering, Adopting, and Mentoring,\u201d in Washoe County. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Whether you are a foster parent, an advocate for children, curious about fostering, adopting, or looking to make a difference, FAM Fest is for everyone. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">HSA\u2019s mission is to support children in care by finding loving foster, adoptive parents, and dedicated mentors in our beloved community. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Bring the whole family for a day filled with fun, laughter, and connection! This year\u2019s FAM Fest will feature an exciting variety of FREE activities that kids and adults alike will love:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li><span><b>Community Tug-of-War:<\/b>\u00a0Compete for a Cause! Watch, or join, local teams, businesses, and community leaders as they battle it out for bragging rights\u2014and the title of Champion for Foster Care Awareness.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><b>Face Painting &amp; Balloon Art. <\/b>Let imaginations run wild with colorful designs and whimsical balloon creations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><b>Meet Bluey! <\/b>Everyone\u2019s favorite blue pup will be making special appearances for photos and hugs\u2014don\u2019t forget your camera!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><b>Food Trucks &amp; Treats<\/b>. Enjoy local food vendors, serving up delicious eats, drinks, and sweets for all appetites.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><b>Live Entertainment &amp; DJ<\/b>. Music, dancing, and performances from local youth groups will keep the energy high all day long.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><b>Raffle Prizes &amp; Giveaways<\/b>.
