Jennifer Aniston<\/a> didn\u2019t just walk away from Friends<\/a><\/em> with lifelong friendships<\/a> and a legendary acting career<\/a>, she also fell for one of her costars so hard she ended up adopting him. Yep, The Morning Show<\/a><\/em> star recently revealed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em> that her journey into dog mom life<\/a> actually started right on the Friends<\/em> set.<\/p>\n While chatting with Colbert on the September 10 episode, Aniston, 56, couldn\u2019t help but gush about her two current pups\u2014Lord Chesterfield and Clyde, both rescues\u2014before sharing the sweet backstory behind her very first dog, Norman.<\/p>\n \u201cMy first dog actually was Norman, whose name is tattooed on my foot,\u201d she said. \u201cNormie, I actually got from the show, Friends.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Aniston, Norman made a cameo in an early episode of the beloved hit sitcom.<\/p>\n \u201cNorman was on an episode of Friends<\/em>, the one where Joey and Chandler babysit Ross\u2019s baby,\u201d she explained, referencing the season two episode where the guys accidentally leave baby Ben on a city bus. \u201cThey\u2019re running through New York City trying to find the bus, and as they\u2019re running\u2014you know how New York has those dog walkers with, like, 20 dogs? Norman was one of those dogs.\u201d<\/p>\n At the time, Aniston had already been thinking about getting a dog, so she asked the on-set animal trainers if they knew of any pups looking for a home. Turns out, Norman was retiring early.<\/p>\n \u201cThey said, \u2018Well, we actually do have a dog who we\u2019re going to retire because he\u2019s very stubborn and never hits his mark,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cSo I retired him. And he became mine.
