De Sonora\u2026 to the Sphere! At a press conference in Las Vegas Thursday night, Car\u00edn Le\u00f3n announced that he will officially become the first Latin artist to play at the Sphere next year.<\/p>\n
The m\u00fasica mexicana star \u2014 who has a show in Las Vegas scheduled this weekend \u2014 revealed that he\u2019ll play three shows at the Sphere for the Mexican Independence Day celebrations next year: on Sept. 11, 12, and 13, 2026.<\/p>\n

He made history at the 2024 Stagecoach festival, when he became the first Mexican artist to perform at the country music<\/a> event.<\/p>\n This year, Le\u00f3n joined\u00a0Cody Johnson<\/a>\u00a0onstage at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest for a rendition of \u201cShe Hurts Like Tequila,<\/a>\u201d their bilingual collaboration, which Le\u00f3n also played solo at Spotify House. There, he became the first Latin artist to play at the country-focused event.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was nearly impossible for this moment not to come,\u201d he\u00a0told\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>about the country-Mexican music merge in an interview last year. \u201cIt was almost intuitive, especially with how similar these genres are. The music on both sides is almost primal, without pretension.\u201d<\/p>\n Next year will see the continuation of the Eagles\u2019 run at the venue through Jan 2026, Backstreet Boys\u2019 Into the Millennium run<\/a>, and Zac Brown Band\u2019s Love & Fear residency<\/a> ending in early January.
