When asked how excited the studio would be if they announced a new Sly Cooper title he replied \u201conly about 10 percent of the studio would be excited.\u201d He carried on further to note that time difference of several decades since the studio worked on the franchise is to blame for any lack of excitement by the team.<\/p>\nSly Cooper has of course seen a re-release of the original games, along with an original Sly Cooper 4, since then but those were all produced by Sanzaru Games, which was recently acquired by Meta.<\/p>\n
In 2022 Sucker Punch released a statement that they currently have no plans to return to either Sly Cooper or InFamous franchises. They have, of course, been hard at work making their latest game Ghost of Yotei,<\/em> which without a doubt looks incredible by all means.<\/p>\nCould fan nostalgia and the studios unwillingness to return to these franchises possibly allow Sony to open the door for another studio to take on the reigns?
