One of the best bands in Ireland currently, Dublin-based\u00a0<\/span>Gurriers\u00a0<\/span>strike while the iron\u2019s hot with their latest single\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Erasure\u2019<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Much like the rest of their discography, including\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Dipping Out\u2019\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0\u2018Come And See\u2019<\/span>, their new, stunning single firmly cements them as ones to follow in the post-punk scene. <\/p>\n ‘Erasure’\u00a0<\/span>perfectly encapsulates the messy chaos that\u2019s at the heart of punk. It\u2019s an unpolished yet charming track, infused with<\/span>\u00a0Dan Hoff<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>distinctive vocals and pounding guitars.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Making for an addictive listen, it truly sets the band miles apart from their fellow musicians. The whole track is a fast-paced delight for your ears with the slightly glitchy beginning immediately hooking you in and setting the tone for the rest of the tune. Though not necessarily quiet, it does calm down slightly near the middle, where the smooth, growling bass has its moment to shine, carrying the song to new heights.\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Erasure\u2019\u00a0<\/span>then gradually rebuilds its energy before it once again explodes as a total treat for your headphones (where this song should be blasted from).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Truly sticking it to the man, the Irish quintet has once again pushed the boundaries of what\u2019s been expected from them to the limits.
