The second season of Apple TV+\u2019s legal thriller Presumed Innocent<\/a> is adding another Emmy winner to its cast.<\/p>\n

Matthew Rhys<\/a> has joined the anthology series. The Americans<\/a> and Perry Mason<\/a> star joins Rachel Brosnahan<\/a> and Jack Reynor<\/a> in season two, which will be based on author Jo Murray<\/a>\u2019s forthcoming book Dissection of a Murder.<\/p>\n

Presumed Innocent<\/a> is the second Apple<\/a> series Rhys<\/a> has signed onto recently. He\u2019s also starring in Widow\u2019s Bay, about the residents of a seemingly cursed New England seaside town.<\/p>\n

The first season of Presumed Innocent<\/a> was based on Scott Turow<\/a>\u2019s novel of the same name (previously adapted for a feature film starring Harrison Ford<\/a>) and starred Jake Gyllenhaal<\/a>, Ruth Negga<\/a> and Peter Sarsgaard<\/a>. In renewing the show, Apple TV+ and the show\u2019s creative team, which includes executive producers David E. Kelley<\/a> and J.J. Abrams<\/a>, opted to make the series an anthology.<\/p>\n
