Days after Teen Mom<\/em> star Tyler Baltierra<\/strong> went public with his autism diagnosis, his wife Catelynn<\/strong> Baltierra<\/strong> was forced to defend him against claims that he made it up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t ever come up with storylines for our show. It\u2019s literally our f\u2013king life. It\u2019s not like we sit here and brainstorm,\u201d Catelynn, 33, said during the Wednesday, September 10, episode of their Cate and Ty Break It Down<\/em><\/a> podcast. \u201cLike, \u2018Let\u2019s pretend you\u2019re f\u2013king autistic. Let\u2019s pretend that I had a miscarriage or that I\u2019m struggling with my mental health.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a016 & Pregnant\u00a0<\/em>alums pointed out that the accusations came from multiple \u201cnasty\u201d social media comments they received after sharing Tyler\u2019s diagnosis.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe [people] are so far disconnected from the fact that we\u2019re real human beings, experiencing real life struggles, triumphs, whatever,\u201d Tyler, 33, added. \u201cYou think we all just wake up and want this? It\u2019s weird. You think this is something that people want to have? What are you crazy?\u201d<\/p>\n

As Star<\/em><\/a> previously reported, the reality star recently opened up about his diagnosis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just thought about all the things I went through as a kid. I just felt so sad for that little kid who wondered, \u2018What\u2019s wrong with me? Something\u2019s wrong, why am I not normal?\u2019\u201d he explained during the episode, which aired in August. \u201cIf I would have known about my stuff, being autistic or being on the spectrum, would that have changed my therapy? It got me thinking, \u2018Wow, there\u2019s so many things that could have been different.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

During the initial podcast, the couple explained that Tyler decided to get tested after noticing similarities in the behavior of their 6-year-old daughter, Vaeda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While they have yet to get Vaeda tested, Tyler explained that he\u2019s learning to \u201clive with this.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
